Nutrigenomics: Frequently Asked Questions
When should I do it?
A nutrigenomics test can be done at any age, from one day old to a hundred years young. The earlier you test the sooner you can tailor your diet and lifestyle to work with and support your genetics.
How accurate is it?
The genotyping data is more than 99.9% accurate. Lifecode GX qualified nutritional therapists and nutrigenomics specialists ensure accurate, evidence-based, interpretation of the results alongside clinically and practically relevant recommendations. This knowledge empowers you to make informed choices.
How might these reports help me?
The level of insight that these reports give enables me to create a programme for you that is truly personalised to the way that your body works. We can support pathways that might be down or up-regulated by knowing which co-factors your body may need more of. We can tailor your supplements to forms that we know your body will be able to utilise.
What does the test involve?
A simple DNA sample taken from a mouth swab. It is sent off to a laboratory for analysis and the results are ready up to three weeks later.
Do I need to get retested?
No, you don't need to do the same test again, as your genes are fixed. Your genetic code doesn't change during your lifetime. You may choose to do additional tests in the future to assess different genes.
Who are Lifecode GX?

How much does it cost?

This also includes two consultations - a shorter consultation (before testing) to go through health goals, medical history, current state of health and current lifestyle. Once the test results have arrived, there is a longer consultation to discuss the results and set your personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan.
For each additional DNA test panel (taken at the same time): add £150. 5th one is free.
